Bounce

A partially deflated basketball exhibits little rebound from a relatively soft asphalt surface. During this fraction of the ball's kinetic energy is dissipated during the inelastic collision. And a completely deflated ball has no bounce at all, and a maximum amount of kinetic energy is lost during the completely inelastic collision.
